I was too young to remember it at the time, but my family&#8217;s church lost several members in the fire. Even today, the area remains haunted by memories of the fire, and the building site remains empty.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was especially tragic because it was largely the result of multiple  <a href=\"http:\/\/news.nky.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20070524\/NKY\/305270014\" target=\"_blank\">building code violations<\/a> and could have easily been prevented.
